Center Parcs 2023
Welcome to our Annual Family Weekend Away 2023 hub, for all families joining us from 16th - 19th June at Center Parcs, Sherwood Forest!
Itinerary
You can download the full itinerary of Dravet Syndrome UK activities here. You will also be provided with a printed itinerary on arrival at Center Parcs on 16th June.
Emergencies
For added peace of mind please be aware we have our own medical team and ambulance who will be onsite from Friday 16th at 11.30am to Monday 19th at 11.30am (although we hope they remain unused and on standby for the duration of the weekend). Between these times, if you have a medical emergency onsite at Center Parcs and require the medical team’s assistance, please call the team on 07912 682 952. You can download details here.
Photography & Filming
We're delighted to welcome back photographer Alex Freeman and introduce videographers Rebecca and Will from Red Goat Productions to the Family Weekend. They'll be helping to capture the magic of our gathering.
Please fill in our consent form here (even if you have filled it in previously), so that we know your up-to-date preferences when we're taking/sharing images and footage.
Laser Combat Sibling Activity Health & Safety Form
Center Parcs require a completed health & safety form to be filled in for each child and adult participating in the Laser Combat activity on the morning of Saturday 17th. This needs to be done in advance of the activity. Please click here to complete the form.
Parent/Carer Organised Activities
These activities are not shown on the DSUK itinerary, but are welcome for all to attend and organised by parents/carers:
Mum's Night: Saturday 17th, 7.30pm, Sports Bar. Organisers - Stephanie Smith & Jenny Alger. Mums, aunties, grandmums, parents & friends welcome!
Run: Sunday 18th, 8am, Outside the Parc Market. Organisers - Oli John & Scott Liddle. All welcome for a steady 5K run - don't worry, no one will be left behind!
Dad's Night: Sunday 18th, 7.30pm, Sports Bar. Organiser - Scott Liddle. Dads, uncles, grandads, parents & friends welcome!
Please ask a member of staff at the DSUK activities if you'd like to be introduced to the organiser(s) of these events so that we can make the introductions. Parent/carer organisers are more than happy to meet you and walk to these activities with you if you're unsure where to go, or who you're looking for!
Family Party (Sunday 18th June)
There's a record-breaking number of people attending the party this year! We're at a smaller venue this year, the wonderful Huck's American Bar & Grill as The Venue that we've used before is under refurbishment. With that in mind, we've had to take the decision to hold two sittings for our family party this year. There won't be a theme for the party this year, but we'd encourage you to wear something bright and cheerful to join the celebrations!
CLICK ON THE UNDERLINED TEXT BELOW to see which party you should attend. The list also includes details of other families attending each party.
