Join our Snowdon Challenge Climb
Due to the impact of coronavirus, we've got a mountain to climb. Together we can conquer it, and make sure people living with Dravet Syndrome continue to get the support they need.
Climb Snowdon your way, in person or virtually, on Saturday 11th September 2021 and help us to hit our £25,000 challenge target so we can keep supporting those who need it most. Read on to find out more.
The impact of your fundraising
Since 2009 thanks to your support we’ve funded: £500,000 of medical research, 400+ life-saving seizure monitors, over 110 grants for people aged 16+, over 130 super sibling awards, 10 weekends away for 400+ families, 5 conferences with the UK’s leading experts, educational leaflets and so much more! Join our Snowdon fundraiser and help us continue to make a difference.
What is it?
Climb Snowdon, Wales’ highest mountain, on Saturday 11th September 2021 by joining us in person or virtually by climbing your stairs 350 times. Raise sponsorship for Dravet Syndrome UK and help us with the mountain we've got to climb, after the impact of coronavirus.
It's easy to get started:
1) Sign up for free by completing the registration form on our events page, making sure you include your name, address and t-shirt number.
2) Set up a fundraising page (details below) and share it on social media so people can sponsor you.
3) Start training ready for your climb on Saturday 11th September 2021!
Every pound raised will help people living with Dravet Syndrome through support, education and research funded by Dravet Syndrome UK. DSUK is the only charity dedicated to supporting people with Dravet Syndrome, but the coronavirus means our ability to raise funds has dropped dramatically. So we've got a mountain to climb, but we can get there together.
In person or virtual?
You choose! Whether you join us in person or virtually on Saturday 11th September 2021 we’ll be thrilled to have your support.
Join us in person and we’ll send you a fundraising pack with all the information you need to know. Starting at 09:30am and taking 6 hours you’ll be supported by our Team Leader and Trustee, Kelvin Hughes, along with plenty of encouragement from the wider DSUK Team.
Join us virtually and we’ll be with you online with words of encouragement and sharing updates of your awesome challenge. The height of Snowdon is equivalent to 4,610 steps or 350 stairs climbs for the average staircase. If you don’t have stairs, a stepper will work just as well.
Whichever option you choose you’ll be achieving something incredible, which you can look back on and be proud of. You will also be raising funds to help those living with this devastating neurological condition and helping to ensure Dravet Syndrome UK can continue providing much needed support.
