Ideas for Fundraising at School

Here is some inspiration for fundraising at school and involving children, their friends and siblings in your fundraising efforts.

Whether to support a pupil or student who is living with Dravet Syndrome, or to raise awareness of charitable giving, fundraising in schools can be a vibrant and engaging learning opportunity for any age.

You could;

  • Hold a ‘wear your own clothes’ or ‘mufti’ day. We tend to find ‘wear purple and/or blue’ days work really well as these are the colours of our logo and purple is also the colour for epilepsy
  • Encourage everyone to get moving by taking part in Every Day in May 4 Dravet or organising your very own step challenge (a great incentive to walk to school…)
  • Keep parents (and staff) happy by organising a car wash. Use your school playground, get your pupils kitted out with waterproofs and overalls, ask for a minimum donation per car, and after the scrubbing is done, you can stand back and see that paintwork shine.
  • Get crafty and follow it up with an art auction or sale of the works that are created. Don’t forget to ask your students to sign their work before they’re sold!
  • For the older pupils you teach, set an accumulator challenge. Give each team £10 in cash and ask them to turn it into as much as they can before a set date. This one is particularly great for business studies students and gives them a great education in philanthropy, when donating the accumulated total to a worthy cause at the end.
  • We all love a bit of cake, so why not keep things simple and hold a bake sale?

We can help to make your events super special, by providing branded fundraising materials.
