Funding Medical Research
Funding medical research is central to our mission at DSUK. We believe there is an urgent need to increase understanding of the condition, improve its management, work towards better outcomes for those living with Dravet Syndrome and hopefully, one day, find a cure.
Each year we fund at least one research project, with £500k awarded to date by DSUK.
We work closely with world-renowned UK clinicians and our research partners, including Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital Charity, the Dravet Syndrome European Federation, Epilepsy Action and the Epilepsy Society. Before receiving a grant, all potential projects go through a robust approval process, including peer review.
We want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all our amazing supporters and sponsors for making this and other research grants possible. Together we are bringing hope to families living with Dravet Syndrome.
