Ceri Hughes

Chief Science Officer

My name is Ceri and, as the sibling of someone living with Dravet Syndrome, I am passionate about improving the lives of those impacted by the condition. I also have a degree in Neuroscience and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Ethics and Law, which have given me an understanding of the biology of Dravet Syndrome and the broader systemic interactions facing families.

Previously, I worked in a neuroscience journal, staying up-to-date with current research and building connections with leading scientists. My role at Dravet Syndrome UK is to drive research into the priorities of families living with Dravet Syndrome by expanding The Charity’s network of researchers and clinicians.I am looking forward to contributing to life-changing progress in the understanding and treatment of Dravet Syndrome.
