Nightwatch+

Find out about the Nightwatch+ Monitor, a clinically validated medical device that is designed to monitor epileptic seizures during sleep and alert caregivers.

NightWatch+ is designed to notify you about the most dangerous seizures during sleep, providing proven support that reduces stress for caregivers.

Information about the Nightwatch+ Monitor provided by the manufacturers:

NightWatch+ includes a comfortable, wireless sensor that continuously monitors to detect seizures using heart rate and movements while the wearer sleeps. NightWatch+ is intended to be used at home or residential care facilities by people diagnosed with epilepsy aged 4 years and older, having nocturnal epileptic motor seizures and caregivers thereof. When NightWatch+ detects a potentially dangerous seizure, a warning is transmitted via a wireless signal from the sensor to the corresponding alarm station to notify a caregiver.

NightWatch+ detects the following seizure types

  • Tonic-clonic seizures
  • Tonic seizures (clustered or prolonged)
  • Hyperkinetic seizures
  • Myoclonic seizures (clustered)

NightWatch+ seizure detection technology was invented and developed in collaboration with a consortium of Dutch neurologists, patient organisations, universities, and high-tech industries.

Feedback from families on using the Nightwatch Monitor:

“We have been really impressed with it – easy to set up and Faith actually doesn’t mind wearing it either which is great – she normally pulls the Sats monitor off straight away! Overall very impressed and has given greater piece of mind and confidence to restart sleep training again soon (I currently sleep in with her because of the sudep risk and her “silent” seizures weren’t being picked up – also she won’t stay in bed on her own currently!). We are very grateful for being allocated this.” -Helen, mum to Faith

“The Nightwatch is brilliant, easy to set up and aside from one false alarm it has worked perfectly and I’m very impressed. I’m very happy and very very grateful to you and Dravet for this device. A very happy Mum.” -Mum to Shannon

“Nightwatch is working as I expected, I really like it. Aryan now sleeps in his own bed and I’m glad as I can give Aizah more time, especially now that we don’t get disturbed by baby waking up and night watching. Thanks a lot, Nightwatch has made my night time so much easier.” – Mum to Aryan
