It’s back! Following the huge success of Dravet Syndrome UK’s first Awesome Abseil in 2023, we’re about to test your nerve and bravery again this year.

Join us and conquer your fears by taking on a 100m descent of the Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth on Saturday 5th September.

Dravet Syndrome is a rare, life-long and life limiting neurological condition. It includes seizures, intellectual disability and a range of associated health conditions such as autism, ADHD, difficulties with mobility, eating and speech. Dravet Syndrome affects one in every 15,000 people in the UK.

This incredible challenge, in the name of charity, will no doubt be adrenaline-filled, exhilarating and hugely rewarding. To register, click here.

 

The details

Date: Saturday 5th September | Location: Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth | Times: 1.30pm – 5.30pm

Registration Fee: £10 (14-17 year olds), £15 (18 and over) | Minimum Fundraising Target: £175 per person

 

Participant Restrictions:

Minimum Age: 14 years old (must be accompanied by a parent/guardian)

Maximum Weight: 120kg / 18 stone

Height Size: 160cm – 200cm / 5ft 2 inches – 6ft 5 inches

Waist Sizes: 60cm – 120cm / 24 inches – 47 inches

Leg circumference: 47cm – 65cm / 18 inches – 25 inches

Support:

On registering, you’ll receive an email from us with further details including information on setting up your fundraising page and ordering a Dravet Syndrome UK branded t-shirt to wear on the day. Nearer the time, we’ll be in touch with plenty of support to help you in reaching and smashing your £175 fundraising target.

Members of the Dravet Syndrome UK team will be there on the day to cheer you on and please do bring along friends and family to support you in your bravery. Please note that if your child/adult living with Dravet Syndrome is coming to watch, they must be accompanied at all times by a trusted member of your party (DSUK staff will not be able to look after them for you).
