Highlights from the DSUK Conference in London

Posted 5th December 2019 in News

Our biennial conference recently took place at the Tower Hotel in London. Across two days we brought together over 250 professional & parents/carers with one goal in common - sharing the latest knowledge on Dravet Syndrome.

Held once every two years, our conference is the only scientific meeting in the UK that is dedicated to furthering knowledge about Dravet Syndrome. With one day for healthcare professionals and one day for parents/carers, the conference delivers a packed agenda of leading voices in Dravet Syndrome to enable discussion of the latest updates, news and medical research.

This year our speaker panel included our Professional Advisory board - Professor Helen Cross, Professor Sameer Zuberi, Dr Elaine Hughes, Professor Sanjay Sisodiya and Epilepsy Nurse Specialist, Neil Williamson - as well as guest speakers, including Dr Andreas Brunklaus, Professor Paul Gringras, Professor Rima Nabbout, SUDEP Action CEO Jane Hanna, Fiona Scolding QC and Stephanie Smith, who spoke as a Dravet parent.

Watch our short highlights video to find out more about the conference and the ways in which it helps to make a positive difference for healthcare professionals and families alike.

We’d like to say many thanks all our speakers, delegates and exhibitors who attended the conference; Response Services Group UK who provided a CPR training workshop; and of course all our supporters, whose funding helps to make these events possible.
